UBD Sharks girls playing AWAY

assalamualaikum and hello everyone...i really havent gotten into the mood of writing for a while cause of my hectic work schedule and school work but i tot id take time out to post this blog just to promote the UBD sharks and the girls efforts in their last game.

As you might of noticed ive learned how to do screen shots..:) hehehe and took some of my last article which was posted on a number of sites which i think you all might be particularly familiar with.

I reached the game half way through and was greeted by of course qeelz, javon and halim along with an already muddied Naj and Adlina..hhehehe.im sorry if forgot some who were there.I prefer touch rugby as opposed to the real deal as it does not involve much physical contact as the name suggest.rugby can and does incur numerous injuries.despite the risks the game is enjoyed by millions around the world including myself...that is when i am the spectator.

As i expected an entourage of male fans was also present as i would think no straight guy would give up the prospect of seeing the female species slugging it out in the mud.(you can comment on this if you like)

Its nice to write on the blog again what with all the mounting assignments coming my way but i am in no way complaining as i am thoroughly enjoying my time studying.I love Uni life and I love my friends that god has bestowed upon me to accompany me through this noble journey of academic pursuits.

I leave you this time not so much with advice but a rather reminder not only to you but myself as well.
"Dirikanlah Solat,Jauhi Maksiat and Sentiasalah Mengingati Allah" Insyallah we will all benefit from this in a time where calmities and natural disaster are befalling us all.

Living On The Brink Of Danger

Loose soil around the landslide
Hj Zaini and his wife .he is Pointing to the area which collapsed.

Worrying bird's eye view of the collapsed section

The monsoon month is giving hillside residents sleepless nights as occupants of a house along Spg 842-45 in Kg Jangsak bore witness to a series of landslips following heavy downpours.

Hj Zaini Hj Mahrop, whose house belongs to his wife, said the latest rumble caused the concrete and the fence of the compound to collapse. The debris can be seen scattered in a nearby ravine.
According to Hj Zaini, the incident occurred at about midnight when most of them were asleep. One of their Indonesian workers who was awake said he heard a rumbling sound and dashed out to inspect the situation only to see that the back portion of the compound had caved in. A call was made to authorities and the Fire and Rescue Department as well as the police arrived shortly after.

Hj Zaini said that they have been residing in the house for the last 11 years and this is not the first time they have experienced landslides, the first of which happened on Oct 26 this year. No noticeable damage occurred during the first incident.

He said that there had been a roof over the area that had collapsed but following the first landslide, the authorities had recommended it be removed, for fear it may crumble during another landslide and adversely affect the structural integrity of the building.

However, during heavy rain, the area now exposed proved to be worsening until its ultimate collapse. He also added that levelling work, which had taken place nearby, might have also aggravated the problem.

According to him, fortifying the hillside with a retaining wall to prevent a major catastrophe may cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, thus relocation may seem to be an alternative. The family of 11 currently living in the house is eagerly awaiting word from the authorities for further action. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin

During the sixth instalment of popular local reality TV series P2F held at the Dewan Raya RTB, contestants Asde, Ina and Ifa were eliminated. The night showcased contestants battling it out with invited local talents who had earlier auditioned to pit their wits against the P2F singers.
Some nine outside challengers - Firda, Arffa, Jush, Mariya, Siti, Ajez, Fyqa, Yaya and Manny - tried their luck against the P2F students, but none were able to outperform any of them in the challenges. While P2F student Dayat gave the night's best performance, the winners of every PK challenge walked away with a Samsung MP3 player sponsored by local distributor Panacom.
P2F also introduced the Vote Back Contest, whereby eliminated candidates like Asde, Ina, Ifa, Emel and Ter would have an opportunity to rejoin the remaining contestants. For the upcoming seventh concert, contestants who qualify for the finals will have the chance to walk away with a brand new Toyota Vios after being crowned the winner. Other prizes, worth over $35,000, are also up for grabs.
